Homemade Odor Absorber

Oh, how I love my puppies. And my shoes. But in a 1,400-square-foot city condo, less-than-perfect smells can travel quickly! #ew

I like a clean, light smell that’s clean for my lungs. I needed to neutralize the scent of shoes in our closet and puppies in our bedroom, so I decided to try something I already had on hand: baking soda!

You can use it in your fridge to absorb smells—why not use it in other spaces?!

I bought a Arm&Hammer fridge box—as it has venting in place to absorb odors, poked a hole in the top with a pen, and added 20 drops of essential oil (lemon eucalyptus!).

Cover the hole, shake-shake-shake, and place the box wherever you need to get rid of some funk!

A clean odor absorber for a little more than $1. Replace monthly, and if you want to keep saving cash and the environment—open the Arm&Hammer box, dump the old baking soda and refill it with new baking soda from an economy bag or box!

Close your eyes, breathe in, and enjoy your clean air!
