Kraft paper for wrapping gifts

Ho-ho-ho! The holidays are getting near and I was on the hunt for a more sustainable, economical gift-wrap. Kraft paper fit this criteria–plus it gives a blank canvas to add holiday cheer!

Kraft paper is sustainable: Just like paper grocery bags or boxes, kraft paper can be recycled and is biodegradable! Unfortunately, many holiday wraps use metallic or glitter, which makes it non-recyclable. But you don’t have to worry about that with kraft paper!

Kraft paper is economical: On average, you’ll get double the amount of kraft paper for the same price as other wrapping paper

Decorating options: Another benefit of kraft paper is it never goes out of season. For the holidays, you can use ribbon or stamps to add some flare, and throughout the year, you can change up the color of decorations to fit the recipient.

Length recommendation: Most wrapping papers are 30 inches long, so I stuck with this length for my kraft paper roll. You can find kraft paper in 18 inch or 24 inch rolls if you prefer something shorter.

Kraft paper bags: Gift bags are also available in kraft paper, and have all the same benefits of wrap! I got a variety of sizes for 35 cents per bag. You can’t beat that!

Do you have a gift wrapping theme or alternative this year? Do share!
